Well what a year so far! Its certainly had its challenges regarding moving goods into the EU. I am proud to state HITAS has managed an effective transition of the new transport requirements. We offer this as a service to our customers in support of product sales.

Overview

As a company we are fully compliant with the relevant health and safety and hazard information in regard to shipping goods from the UK. With the new regulations in terms of customs duties we are having to find solutions for moving goods into the EU.

The issues arise with customs clearance which must take place in the country where the EORI (Economic Operators Registration and Identification number) is registered. This is so the EORI number is the country in which the import VAT will be paid.

The information required from you our customer and from HITAS to ensure orders are despatched and delivered to you in a timely fashion, avoiding unnecessary delays and of course costs – please see details below as an overview.

Information required from Customers when placing orders.

  1. Customers EORI number
  2. Usual Delivery Address – including contact name and telephone number.
  3. Direct Deliveries: To an end user within the country your EORI number is registered is possible without additional costs or customs clearance implications.
  4. Direct Deliveries: To an end user in another country – you will need to provide either a EORI number registered in that country or nominate a Clearing Agent in the country your EORI number is registered who will take over the customs clearance on your behalf, before onward travel is undertaken.

Clearing Agent Details – Including contact name, email address and telephone number. Clearing Agent to advise if Electronic clearance or physical clearance required?

HITAS Products Ltd will create the following documentation when arranging transport of goods on your behalf.
